Chantal Lamarre’s Show Rescheduled
Chantal Lamarre’s first solo show, titled ‘Steppettes et cornemuse’, will now premiere on April 30, 2026, at 7 PM, following a postponement due to adverse weather conditions. The announcement was made just 24 hours before the original premiere date, causing a stir among her fans.
Lamarre took to social media to share the news, expressing her disappointment but also her excitement for the new date. She humorously remarked, « Tant qu’à briser les hanches des corps de nos spectateurs, c’est remis. » This reflects her playful approach to the challenges of live performances.
Since launching her tour last summer, Lamarre has performed over 40 shows, showcasing her evolving artistry. She noted, « Certains bouts ont été coupés, d’autres ont évolué. Même le décor n’est plus le même qu’au début ! » indicating significant changes in both content and presentation.
The upcoming show will feature a mix of songs, dance numbers, and karaoke, lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Lamarre has planned a total of 108 performances across Quebec and beyond, extending her tour until 2027.
In addition to her solo endeavors, Lamarre is set to participate in the Festival d’été de Québec, which will run from July 9 to July 19, 2026. This festival’s 58th edition was announced on March 11, 2026, and will feature prominent artists such as Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Muse, and The Lumineers.
Despite her extensive experience, Lamarre admits to still feeling nervous before performances, stating, « J’ai du fun! J’en ai encore! » Her candidness about stage fright resonates with many performers, highlighting the emotional journey of live entertainment.
As the new premiere date approaches, fans and observers are eager to see how Lamarre’s show will continue to evolve. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any further changes to the show leading up to the premiere.
