Natalie Portman is pregnant with her third child, marking a new chapter in her life. This will be her first child with partner Tanguy Destable.
Portman, now 44 years old, shared the news in an exclusive interview with Harper’s Bazaar. She expressed her excitement, stating, “Tanguy and I are very excited. I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
The actress already has two children from her previous marriage to choreographer Benjamin Millepied: son Aleph, who is 14, and daughter Amalia, aged 9. After finalizing her divorce in 2024, Portman began dating Destable in March 2025.
Reflecting on her pregnancy journey, she noted the challenges of fertility. “I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant,” she said. “I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well.” This perspective is particularly poignant given that Portman is the daughter of a fertility doctor.
As she navigates this new phase of motherhood, she also maintains a busy career. Portman co-founded a production company called MountainA in 2020 and stars in the upcoming film The Gallerist, set for release in late 2026. Additionally, she’s recently become the face of Tiffany & Co.
Interestingly, she mentioned having no unusual pregnancy cravings—just a preference for fruit, especially pineapple and melon.
Portman’s journey into motherhood continues to inspire many. Yet it’s clear that while she embraces this joyous occasion, she also remains aware of its complexities: “It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing,” she added.
