Travis Kelce Gears Up for Chiefs Season in New Photos After Taylor Swift Wedding - Yahoo Sports Canada
Travis Kelce has commenced training in Florida, preparing for the upcoming NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs. This development follows his confirmation in March that he would return for his 14th season with the team. Kelce was recently photographed in athletic wear, indicating his focus on the new season.
His return to training comes less than two weeks after his marriage to Taylor Swift. The couple’s wedding ceremony took place at Madison Square Garden on July 3, attended by an estimated 1,000 guests.
Kelce’s decision to return
Kelce’s decision to forego retirement and return for another season with the Chiefs was announced during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. He expressed his continued passion for the game, stating, “Let’s go! Making another run at it, baby, and the Chiefs are making moves, Pat.”
He also attributed his decision to his wife, noting their shared dedication to their respective careers. Kelce mentioned, “We share the same love for what we do, and we’ve had this…desire. I’m still in love with this game.”
The tight end’s last game was in mid-December 2025, when the Chiefs were eliminated from the playoffs after a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. This marked the team’s first playoff elimination in a decade.
According to a report from ESPN‘s Adam Schefter, the athlete’s deal is valued at a minimum of $12 million, with a potential maximum of $15 million. Kelce reportedly informed the Chiefs of his intention to return on a Monday, prior to the start of the free agency period.
