BTS to Release New Album and Perform Comeback Concert in Seoul

BTS has announced the release of their fifth studio album titled ‘Arirang’, set to debut on March 20, 2026. This marks a significant return for the group, who has been on hiatus since 2022 due to mandatory military service.

The album will feature 14 songs, including the title track ‘SWIM’, which is described as an upbeat alternative pop song about navigating life’s waves. The opening track is ‘Body to Body’, and the album concludes with ‘Into the Sun’.

Following the album release, BTS will perform a free comeback concert titled ‘BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang’ on March 21, 2026, at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. This concert will be livestreamed on Netflix, allowing fans worldwide to participate in the event.

In preparation for this album, BTS members participated in songwriting sessions in Los Angeles last summer, collaborating with renowned producers such as Diplo, Ryan Tedder, and El Guincho. According to BigHit Music, “The album encompasses the identity of BTS and the sentiments accumulated over their journey.”

BigHit Music also stated that the album’s 14 tracks share “the honest stories BTS has long wanted to tell ARMY, who have been waiting for their full-group comeback.” This sentiment resonates deeply with their fanbase, known as ARMY.

As part of their comeback, BTS is planning a world tour that will span 34 cities and include 79 shows, making it the largest world tour in K-pop history. The tour’s stage design will feature a 360-degree setup, enhancing the concert experience for attendees.

Since their hiatus began, BTS has sold 2.4 million tickets for their North American, Europe, and U.K. tour dates, indicating strong demand and anticipation for their return.

Ryan Tedder expressed his excitement about working with BTS, stating, “Was a journey and so much fun working with these guys and an honor to be involved in this.” The upcoming album and concert are highly anticipated events for both the group and their fans.
