Dalhousie University has launched an innovative program called DeepSense, designed to facilitate the transition of students from academic assignments to real-world work experiences. This initiative, spearheaded by the Faculty of Computer Science, connects students with industry partners to develop applied artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. Initially focused on the ocean sector, DeepSense is now expanding its reach to include areas such as defense and natural resources, while continuing to offer paid internships as a pathway to employment.
