FEQ Festival 2026 to Feature Major Artists
“FEQ is much more than a series of big concerts: it’s a gathering that brings people together and gives back,” said Nicolas Racine, highlighting the essence of the Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ). Scheduled to take place from July 11, 2026, at the historic Plains of Abraham in Quebec City, the festival promises an 11-day celebration of music across various genres.
This year’s lineup includes prominent headliners such as Gwen Stefani, Kesha, and Michael Bublé, alongside alternative rock and indie acts like Muse, Limp Bizkit, Daughtry, and Patrick Watson. Additionally, country music will be represented by Jelly Roll and Nate Smith, while electronic music will be showcased by Martin Garrix.
Louis Bellavance, Vice-President of Content and Artistic Direction at BLEUFEU, stated, “This year, we’re betting on a decidedly unifying program, carried equally by all of our headliners.” This reflects a commitment to creating a cohesive experience for festival-goers.
Folk and Americana will be represented by The Lumineers and Lord Huron, while hip-hop and dancehall will feature performances from Cypress Hill, Shaggy, and Sean Paul. The festival’s diverse lineup aims to cater to a wide range of musical tastes.
Details about the festival’s programming come after a headliner canceled shortly before the announcement of the lineup. Bellavance remarked, “On a eu un changement de direction involontaire hier, à 16 h,” indicating the challenges faced in finalizing the event.
Despite the setback, Sean Paul and Nate Smith are set to return as headliners after canceling their appearances last year. This return is expected to excite fans who were disappointed by their absence in the previous festival.
The Plains of Abraham, a significant historical site in Canada, serves as the backdrop for this vibrant festival, which has previously hosted major artists like Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, and Elton John.
As the festival date approaches, the excitement among fans is palpable, with many looking forward to the diverse musical offerings. However, details remain unconfirmed regarding the specific reason for the headliner cancellation and any potential replacements.
With its rich history and commitment to showcasing a variety of musical genres, the FEQ festival continues to be a highlight on Quebec’s cultural calendar.
