“The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings — and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty,”
Scheduled for March 28, 2026, this rally is expected to draw around 100,000 attendees to the state Capitol in St. Paul. It is the flagship event among more than 3,100 protests organized across all 50 states, with over 9 million participants anticipated nationwide.
The No Kings movement, which has gained momentum since its inception, is a direct response to what many view as authoritarianism under President Donald Trump. The term ‘No Kings’ was coined by the 50501 Movement, aiming to challenge Trump’s immigration policies and his actions against political opponents.
Bruce Springsteen, a prominent supporter of the movement, emphasized its importance, stating, “The No Kings movement is of great import right now.” This sentiment resonates with many activists who feel that the current political climate demands urgent action.
The first round of No Kings protests took place on June 14, 2025, attracting over 5 million participants, followed by a second round on October 18, 2025, which saw nearly 7 million attendees. These events have galvanized communities across the nation, uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds in a common cause.
Despite the overwhelming support for the protests, the White House has dismissed them, claiming they are funded by ‘leftist funding networks.’ Trump himself has responded to the movement by stating, “I’m not a king.” This dismissal has only fueled the determination of protesters who believe their voices must be heard.
In addition to the U.S., protests are also planned in more than a dozen other countries, including Canada, Germany, and the UK, highlighting the global reach of the No Kings movement.
As the rally date approaches, organizers are working tirelessly to ensure a peaceful and impactful demonstration. They are calling on communities to unite and stand against what they perceive as a growing threat to democracy.
With the stakes high and the momentum building, the No Kings protests are poised to make a significant statement about the future of political leadership in America.
