Seth Curry Returns
Seth Curry will play against the Utah Jazz after missing the last three months due to sciatica. This marks his return to the Golden State Warriors, as he hasn’t played since December 4.
Curry, who led the NBA in 3-point field goal percentage last season at 45.6 percent, has made a limited impact this season, shooting 6-of-9 as a Warrior, including 2-of-4 from deep.
The Warriors have been relying on their shooting prowess, leading the NBA in made 3-pointers per game with 16.3. However, they are currently ranked 14th in 3-point percentage at 35.9.
During Curry’s absence, Moses Moody has stepped up, averaging 15.4 points per game since January 30. However, Moody remains out with a sprained wrist, alongside Will Richard, who is sidelined due to an ankle injury.
On the other hand, Kristaps Porziņģis has averaged 10.5 points per game in his two games as a Warrior, contributing to the team’s efforts in Curry’s absence.
Head coach Steve Kerr expressed optimism about Curry’s return, stating, “It’s great to have him back,” and added, “(He is) obviously a great shooter, knows how to play.” This sentiment reflects the team’s anticipation of his impact on the court.
As the Warriors prepare for their matchup against the Jazz, De’Anthony Melton is also set to play after missing a previous game, adding depth to the roster.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the full extent of Curry’s recovery and how he will fit back into the team’s strategy moving forward.
