Joe Rogan Criticizes Trump Over Iran Conflict
In a recent development, Joe Rogan has openly criticized Donald Trump for his military actions in Iran, describing the conflict as “insane” and a betrayal of the promises Trump made during his campaign. Rogan’s comments come amid escalating tensions and significant casualties resulting from U.S.-Israeli airstrikes in the region.
Rogan highlighted that over 1,250 Iranians have been killed, including 175 civilians, in the ongoing airstrikes. He expressed concern that many people feel betrayed by Trump’s actions, noting that Trump had campaigned on a platform advocating for “no more wars” and now finds himself embroiled in a conflict that lacks clear justification.
Polls indicate a significant divide in public opinion regarding Trump’s military actions, with 89% of Democrats and 60% of independents opposing the war in Iran. In contrast, 85% of Republicans support the military intervention, showcasing a stark partisan divide on the issue.
Rogan, who endorsed Trump prior to the 2024 election, has increasingly broken with the former president on several major issues since mid-2025, including the war with Iran. He has also expressed skepticism about Trump’s handling of various matters, including the Epstein files and immigration policies, which he has labeled as “insane” and “horrific.”
During his remarks, Rogan questioned the rationale behind the military actions, stating, “It just seems so insane, based on what he ran on. I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right? He ran on no more wars, end these stupid, senseless wars, and then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it.”
Rogan also raised concerns about Trump’s age, noting that the former president will turn 80 on June 14, 2026. He remarked, “Right, he’s 80, he doesn’t have much to lose. That’s the scary thing about old leaders — it’s like, death is imminent. It’s within a decade, if you’re lucky.”
Furthermore, Rogan criticized the justification for the conflict, questioning who believes it is a good idea to engage in such aggression. He stated, “The problem is from the outside, like the rest of the world, you look at this unnecessary aggression by the United States government… and then this war with Iran gets really ugly.”
As the situation continues to evolve, reactions to Rogan’s statements are likely to emerge from various political factions and media outlets. The ongoing conflict in Iran remains a contentious issue, with both domestic and international implications.
